Sugar Magnolia Sweet Blossom Blooming....

One morning at 4:30am, Mom thought it would be a good idea to sneak into the Smithsonian Castle gardens to get first light pictures. A series of problems with this equation: First, it was 23 degrees out. Second, this was illegal as the gardens did not open until 7:00am. Third, how were they going to hoist me, my diaper bag, and the stroller over the 15 foot rod iron fence with spikes on the top. Oh yeah it was also illegal. The plan was to scale the African Art Museum and then drop over the other side. By the time mom got her gear all set up, pops and I just walked in the open gate as it was now 7:09 am. Below are a few pictures at first light, which actually did not come up until 7:34 am.
