The Boy Is All Grown Up.....Almost.

So there comes a time in every young man's life where he is no longer willing to let mama choose his clothes, wash his laundry, fix him dinner, pack his lunch, wash his hair, etc....  I take that back, mama(s) can always do the laundry, dinner, lunch, but some independence is necessary.  The other day Eamonn told us, "I need to get one of those haircuts, can I buy one?"  So I guess it was finally time to let Eamonn choose to get a haircut, though it was tough to see those wavy locks go away.  You can see his wild-hippie look in the first picture which was taken on Mother's Day and then the second picture which was taken last night while at dinner in Laguna Beach, the same day as his new haircut.

Flo-Rida Vacation

So a few weeks ago we did our first real family vacation as a family of four, cross-country flights and a week on the beach in Florida.  I could tell Papa was a little anxious on the logistical front and a little restless with the pending week of sitting on the beach...Papa like me has a hard time sitting still for more than a few minutes.  Plus it would mean that he would not see his bike(s) for an entire week...for Papa, that is hardly his definition of a vacation.  Little did he know that he would be plenty busy changing diapers, fixing meals, changing diapers, cleaning up after meals, evening baths after swimming in the ocean and pools all day, changing soppy swim diapers,  and yes changing more diapers.  Luckily for Papa, he got to take a week long work trip (aka vacation) the week after we returned from Florida.

Kicking-it with my buddy Viktor early in the morning.

My first real day at the beach in my new swimsuit.

Yeah, I am one cool dude.  Elvis night at the resort starts at 6:45 pm.
