This past weekend was a classic SoCal Winter Weekend. We started off early Saturday morning with a hike up Laurel Canyon Trail and down Willow Canyon Road (see map). The temperature was a comfortable 72 degrees to start out and then reached near 80 by noon with a nice coastal breeze.
We also tried out my new Skuut bike now that I can finally reach the ground. However, this was really just a day to walk the bike around and show it off to the ladies. Hey, look this is my new bike. (Papa's Comment: he must have said that 100 times to joggers, walkers, anyone we passed, dogs, and the entire Newport Beach Highschool Cross Country team.)
Then on Sunday we decided to head to the mountains for some sledding. We were supposed to go with my friend Maya and her mama/papa, but Maya got sick so we decided to go it alone. The snow was a little scarce, but Papa bought me a new sled and pulled me around the park until I fell off. Oh yeah, I also got to try out my new snow suit, however, I am already too big for it so the torso is a little tight despite being a 4T size. The result is that it makes it a little difficult to stand up if you cannot bend at the waste very well.
Below are some additional photos from some of our recent weekend adventures.
