The Start of a Family Tradition

We have recently begun our weekend family hikes given that winter weather includes 85 degrees here in sunny southern California.  Though Papa wimpers for those cold snowy days he enjoyed in Colorado and Vermont...me, Mama, and Lael-e-bug are loving this Park Weather every day!  Here are a few shots from some of our recent hikes where we saw lots of coyote poop, hawks, rabbits, coyote poop, snake holes, lots of rocks, and more coyote poop.  You get the picture, there are a lot of coyotees around here.  In fact last week, Papa and Truman were followed home by 3 coyotees from upper park which is about 3 blocks away.  They must of found a fat man tied to a spotted coyote quite interesting...or maybe a imagined a all-you-can-eat-buffet.

I saw some dirt so I decided to catch my breath and have a look at this minute little particle of earth right there...you need to look close to see it.

I did not sign up for all this picture taking, since when did hikes become family portrait day!  Secretly that is what Papa is thinking but he is too scared to say it out loud.

We see lots of coyote poop leading up the the trails behind our house.

On the way home it is always important to take a little rest...and refer to yourself in 3rd person:  "No, No, Eamonn take little rest right here one more last time."

Rooooooooaaaaaaaaaaaaarrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!
